Age: I just turned 38 (whew!)
Occupation: Speech Language Pathologist for the Bellingham School District
Which class time do you usually attend? My husband is a tugboat captain and he is gone half of the month so it really depends on his schedule. When he is home you will most likely find me at the 6am. When he is gone I am all over the place and get it in however/whenever I can!
How long have you been CrossFitting? 7 months!
How did you find CrossFit i1uvit? My bestie and workout partner for the last 13 years, Dena Marie.
What is your athletic/fitness background (If applicable): I have always loved to sweat. I played volleyball and ran growing up. I am a Montana gal and spent most of my weekends on the slopes skiing and hiking. When I moved to Bellingham I loved the new gym at WWU. I have always been a part of a gym since graduating.
Favorite WOD: Well, I don't know all of the names, but I am more of a Tabata style cardio girl! Oddly, I like WOD's that involve running, burpees, kettle bells, pushups, jump squats and overall lung burners.
Favorite lift or movement: I like burpees, lunges and squats because they are ass kickers.
Least favorite WOD: Again, I not familiar with all of the names, but I clearly recall a WOD with SEVERAL wall balls, I almost lost my cookies!
Least favorite movement: Oh man....! When I first started I was miserable at overhead squats and snatches. I am thrilled with the coaching I have received to strengthen these moves. Although I can't lift a ton of weight I am getting better! Yesterday they felt pretty good (1%, right?!).

Favorite “guilty pleasure” food: I'm not gonna lie to ya, I like to have a good time! With that comes good booze and good food. I keep it clean, but love me some sushi, chocolate and a good bevy!
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? I have always enjoyed exercising and have done it for years. To me CrossFit is fresh, fun and ass kickin' hard! i1uvit helped me get into my pre-baby bod (well almost there ) and gain an incredible amount of strength. I love that I get to exercise with Dena again and amongst so many fabulous people. This world is crazy and our gym feels safe, kind, positive and fun! Way to go guys!
Who or what motivates/inspires you to keep coming back?  Please see above! As well as my hot husband and daughter.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement? Beating Dena! Haha, just teasing. Having the confidence to try EMOM Handstand Push-up's on the wall. I required assistance, but I got some (YES)! As well as, toes to rings, bam!
Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve through CrossFit: I would like to conquer pull-up's and master the snatch.
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit: We have a boat and enjoy fishing, prawning and island hopping. I love to cook for my friends and family, as well as host parties. I enjoy skiing and going on beach walks with my family. I have the luxury of having summers off so you will find me picking berries, growing flowers, making jam and syrup and visiting my family in Montana.
Any advice for new members? BREATHE! Ask a ton of questions. Watch the experienced members. Be proud of yourself for showing up.

Coaches you are topnotch, kind, knowledgeable, classy, smart and patient. Kaylee your energy is electric and Matt your laugh is contagious. I am thrilled to be a part of such a great group of people!
