Age: 34
Occupation: BP Project Manager
Which class time do you usually attend? 6AM – All the way
How long have you been CrossFitting?  Roughly 9 months
How did you find CrossFit i1uvit? Shout-out to my boy Ryan Kennedy
What is your athletic/fitness background (if applicable): Snowboarding since I was 7 or 8, with a Marathon and a few other races thrown in there.
Favorite WOD: Any Chipper or Annie (I’m just starting to somewhat get consistent with my DU’s and I like how I can do this WOD at home or at the gym at work to try and beat my previous best time)
Favorite lift or movement: Rowing – With this movement, I’ve noticed a huge improvement with my Left Shoulder which was injured in a hit & run accident.
Least favorite WOD: I don’t have one yet
Least favorite lift or movement: I have a love hate relationship with snatches – I am getting better but continuing to work on my shoulder mobility with the bar
Favorite quote: I got a few…“If you think you can, you can” – a fortune cookie I got once / “It’s not how good you are, it’s how good you want to be” – Paul Arden / “You can’t solve a problem with the same mind that created it” – Albert Einstein
Favorite “guilty pleasure” food: Wood fired pizza & red wine
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, and/or level of fitness? I am overall more functionally fit and that transcends to all other facets of my life. Being a Husband, Father, Brother, Son, Friend, Co-Worker – It holistically has made me be a better person. I am also able to perform other activities outside of CrossFit that I love at a higher level than I did before.
Who or what motivates/inspires you to keep coming back?  I keep coming back because it starts my day out in the best possible way. I love how it makes me feel and I love the group setting for the workouts! I have more energy after work to spend quality time with my wife and two daughters. We are all on our own journey to be the best version of ourselves, and when you surround yourself everyday with people that want to do the same thing through fitness, it is inspiring because we keep showing up and for that 1 hour - we are all together working toward the same goal – to be better than yesterday.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement? Within the 9 Months since I started, I think it’s just being consistent, life happens but making my fitness a priority and giving 100% at every class
Name one goal you are working for and would like to achieve through CrossFit: By the end of 2019, my goal is to do a BMU’s & RMU’s / Long Term Goal – RX Murph Solo
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit: Snowboarding, Hiking, Mtn. Biking, Freediving/Spearfishing in The Exumas & traveling the world with my wife, Roz & our two daughters, Capryce (6 yrs.) & Saige (4 yrs.)
