How long have you been CrossFitting? For about 7 years
How did you find CrossFit i1uvit? Coach Bo gave me the idea to drop in while visiting from Texas. When I moved back home it was a no brainer to join i1uvit!
What is your athletic/fitness background: I have always been active with sports as a kid and it continued through high school with football. I started CrossFit down in Texas in 2012 when my sector headquarters in Border Patrol started its own gym.
Favorite WOD: The longer chipper style WODs.
Favorite lift or movement: Heavy cleans
Least favorite WOD: Anything with overhead squats
Least favorite lift or movement: Thruster
Favorite quote: Not much of a quote guy so just put the work in take care of yourself.
Favorite “guilty pleasure” food: Ice Cream. It’s embarrassing how much I could eat.
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, and/or level of fitness? CrossFit has changed a lot for me. I always struggled in a normal gym setting and could never motivate myself to even work up a sweat. With CrossFit a coach and your classmates pushing you everyday it’s pretty easy to give 100%.
Who or what motivates/inspires you to keep coming back? How CrossFit has kept me healthy and the feel of a good workout.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement? Beating Oscar in every Open I’ve entered.
Name one goal you are working for and would like to achieve through CrossFit? I would like to string any muscle up together but also just stay healthy.
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit? I enjoy pretty much anything outdoors, hunting, camping, farming, etc..
Any advice for new members? Don’t be fearful of what people say about CrossFit. Try it and you will be hooked. Any workout can be scaled to your ability!
