Where are you from? Born and raised in Bellingham Washington
Occupation (in addition to coaching at i1uvit): Volunteer Firefighter
Where did you go to school? What did you study? Western Washington University. Majored in Studio Art, minor in Art History
What coaching credentials do you have? CrossFit Level 1
How long have you been CrossFitting? I started in January of 2016.
What is your athletic/fitness background? I participated in high school sports including Football, Track (sprinter) and Cheerleading. Placed 3rd at state in the 100m dash my senior year of high school and went on to compete in college at WWU. In 2010 I did my first powerlifting meet. I broke the APA (American Powerlifting Association) world record in Back Squat and regional record for Total Lift, in the 18-19yr old drug tested “Raw” division. I found CrossFit in 2016.

Favorite lift or movement: Any kind of snatch
Least favorite W.O.D.: Helen
Least favorite movement: Handstand Pushups
Favorite quote: “Hard work beats talent, when the talent doesn’t work hard.” Couldn’t be more true in this sport.
Favorite “guilty pleasure” food: PIZZA… all the pizza
How has CrossFit changed your life/lifestyle/level of fitness? Crossfit has given me a definition of fitness and way of measuring it that I never would have discovered on my own. The philosophy has given me a platform to reach levels of fitness I didn’t know were possible. Its also connected me to a community of awesome, hard working, likeminded people!
Who or what motivates/inspires you? I am inspired by people who have to courage to honestly seek their full potential. Athletically, creatively, all the above.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement(s)? Competing at the Elite level in multiple competitions.
Name one goal you are working to achieve through CrossFit? To create a healthy mind and body that continues to grow into my older age.
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit? Spending time with Erica, Painting & drawing, Music, Traveling and family time
Any advice for new members? There are infinite things to learn in CrossFit. Be patient, work hard and you will see results!!
