What is your athletic/fitness background (if applicable): Mostly running. I played fast pitch and soccer in high school
Favorite WOD: Anything with running and abmat situps
Favorite lift or movement: Hang Clean
Least favorite WOD: Anything with the assault bike

How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, and/or level of fitness? It has made me stronger than I have ever been. I started CrossFit while I was training for a marathon and had no idea how much functional strength I would gain. It has helped me protect my back at work and have the muscles to carry around my 40lb 2 year old.
Who or what motivates/inspires you to keep coming back? Katie Hoekema honestly inspires me. She comes every day even though she is managing all 96 of her kids. I am motived by the strides I have made and seeing myself get better and more confident in the movements.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement? Getting toes to bar and starting to do handstand push ups. Also, having my husband and kids start this summer was so great!
Name one goal you are working for and would like to achieve through CrossFit: I would like to be able to deadlift a minivan eventually but for now my goal is to get an unassisted pull up.
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit? I love running, spending time with friends and family and basket weaving.
Any advice for new members? Don't compare yourself to others and their progress. Be inspired by them and work hard to improve yourself.
Any additional thoughts/shout-outs/comments: I would like to say thanks to all the coaches who took the time to explain things to me. Thanks to Matt and Kaylee who went out of their way to find workouts for me when I broke my foot and was pregnant and came back from surgery. You guys have created an environment that is inspirational and encouraging and safe for people of all levels of fitness. That's rare!
