Which class time do you usually attend? Whatever I can get to. Usually 9:30's, noons and 6:30's
How long have you been CrossFitting? I started intro camp June 6
How did you find CrossFit i1uvit? My neighbor Gretchen Hovde. One day she said she was going back to Crossfit and that I should go too. So I said something like "ya, ok" hoping she'd drop it. Then the next day she handed me her phone with the i1uvit website up and said "here, sign up". I intended to keep ignoring her until she texted that night that she had just talked to Kaylee, and that I was all signed up to start the next day.
What is your athletic/fitness background (If applicable) Soccer in high school
Favorite WOD: I like anything EMOM (except that awful one with burpees)
Favorite lift or movement: Power snatches, And, I kind of secretly like box jumps now.
Least favorite WOD: There was one that was all running and thrusters. Not my fave.
Least favorite movement: Jump rope, jumping rope, and jump roping
Favorite life quote: Expect nothing and appreciate everything
Favorite “guilty pleasure” food: Pizza
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness? How hasn't it? It's been a positive ripple effect into every area of life.
Who or what motivates/inspires you to keep coming back. My 4 year old daughter. I'm trying to be the best example I can for her. The fact that the workouts are so varied, and i1uvit is such a welcoming, encouraging environment is big for me as well.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement? I always thought if I was asked this, it would be climbing the rope. But, I'm not there yet. I've had a few feel goods, but the thing that felt the best was my first RX wod.
Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve through CrossFit? Just one? I'm going to climb that stupid rope.
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit? Mommin and workin. My free time goes to Crossfit and my kid right now. I do have a sweet vegetable garden in the summer though.
Any advice for new members? Have fun with it. If you have a question, ask it. Don't be too hard on yourself if you have never done Crossfit, you'll get it, I promise.
Any additional thoughts/shout-outs/comments: Gretchen, Gretchen, Gretchen. Thanks for peer pressuring me into going to Crossfit. Girl, you should be selling used cars =). Drai and Kelly G, I love lifting with you guys. You both push me to do more. Thanks to everyone that has ever said "keep going" to me in a WOD. Thanks to all the coaches, i1uvit has a great crew.
