How did you find CrossFit i1uvit?
I literally wandered in on a weekend day in my sweatpants and rubber boots to find all the pieces of iluvit coming together. I was kindly greeted by Matthew and his lovely Mom and Dad. The air was buzzing of excitement and newness and I couldn’t wait to be part of it.
What is your athletic/fitness background?
I have ALWAYS been active from childhood play, youth and school sports to college intramurals and an avid adult trail explorer (runner)!
I tend to favor longer workouts with more of an endurance focus.
Favorite lift or movement:
I specialize in one legged burpees!
Least favorite W.O.D.
CF total, pretty much my arch nemesis.
Least favorite movement:
anything involving a front rack position
Favorite life quote:
“be bold, be fierce, be grateful, be wild, crazy and gloriously FREE! BE YOU.”
Favorite “guilty pleasure” food:
Moowhiches from the Lynden Fair. I plan on eating at least 3 of them this year.
How has CrossFit changed your life, lifestyle, and level of fitness?
I can honestly say I am a better human because of CrossFit. Not only does my body benefit from the physical aspect of the sport, but beyond the sweat, I have come across a community of folks who have become like family to me. It seems as though we share a common love for health, happiness and treat each other with genuine care that is unlikely to be found elsewhere. The members of our iluvit (and closely related Jogo) family are truly a blessing.
Who or what motivates/inspires you to keep coming back?
#1 the people I spend an hour or two with and knowing that every day is going to be different than the last.
What is your proudest CrossFit achievement?
Just knowing that others are motivated and inspired by me is one of the greatest achievements.
Name one goal/personal achievement you would like to achieve through CrossFit?
200 unbroken double-unders!
Hobbies/Interests outside of CrossFit?
Camping, exploring the great outdoors, family time, bonfires, trail running with dear friends, reading, and rocking chairs!

Live it and love it!
